“What do you mean I should only concentrate on one thing at a time?”

The power of one.

It’s a concept I struggle with daily.

There are so many shiny objects to chase.

Our business, Rancho Encino, has three micro companies, events, an equine-assisted learning program, and our new floral endeavor. All three started because it looked like an interesting way to pay the bills.

It's a bad habit of mine. Jump in and think later.

So far, I have been able to make “think later” work. It's probably not the most efficient way of starting new projects, but it works for me.

So, when Katie and I started working with Charlotte Smith’s program for farmers to help market our flowers, I was surprised by her concept of the power of one.

But it makes sense.
